Dr Belle Wong was a Raffles Top Scholar, then graduated with Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Singapore, and received the inaugural Wong Hock Boon Allergy and Immunology Prize. Thereafter, she was awarded membership to the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), as well as to the College of Emergency Medicine (UK). She went on to achieve a Masters in Medicine in Emergency Medicine from the National University of Singapore.
Trained in Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Anaesthesia, she decided to focus on Emergency Medicine, and garnered a large amount of her experience in both public and private practice, where she developed a quick and keen clinical acumen. As such, she is able to pick up urgent conditions swiftly, execute expeditious management, and streamline care plans to dispense with unnecessary investigations. She was also recognised on multiple counts for Quality Service Awards whilst in public practice, and also was conferred the Public Spiritedness Award in 2013 by the Singapore Police Service for resuscitating a civilian who had drowned.
As a mother herself, Dr Wong believes in the need to keep ourselves in the pink of health so that we can perform at our peak, and be the best we can be for the people important to us. She is especially adept in breaking down medical jargon into understandable concepts, and enjoys patient education. She is always happy to take extra time and care to explain medical matters simply yet clearly to patients so that they can take full ownership of their health.
Friendly and professional, Dr Wong’s lively yet reassuring demeanour puts patients at ease to discuss any healthcare concerns they may have. Her goal is to provide excellent service standards and a customised health experience specially tailored to each patient’s needs and considerations.
